ETHICON SCTS University Scholarship 2011 Winners Announced

The Inaugural ETHICON SCTS University Scholarships were awarded on July 13th 2011 to 4 of the top UK Cardiothoracic Trainees.

An ETHICON SCTS University Scholarship offers the opportunity for senior cardiothoracic surgical trainees to gain experience from units at the forefront of specific areas of cardiothoracic surgical practice both nationally and internationally.
Scholarships will run for a period of six months and will commence before year-end 2011.
Final selection was at the exclusive discretion of the teaching institution. These Scholarships are funded in line with the ABHI Code of Business Practice and adhere to Health Care Compliance Guidelines.

The first ETHICON Cardiac Symposium was held at the SCTS 2011 Conference on March 21st at the EXCEL Centre, London. The symposium entitled, ‘Assessment and Improvement of Morbidity after Cardiac Surgery’ and was attended by 60 delegates and 4 faculty.
ETHICON SCTS University Scholarships offer the opportunity for senior Cardiothoracic surgical trainees to gain subspecialty "Finishing School" experience in national and international Centres of Excellence.
