Announcement of an ETHICON-SCTS Initiative
ETHICON SCTS University Scholarships offer the opportunity for senior Cardiothoracic surgical trainees to gain subspecialty "Finishing School" experience in national and international Centres of Excellence. Closing date for submissions will be 31st May 2011 and Scholarships will be awarded by 1st July 2011.
Competitive submission will be required, from which the four top applications will be awarded these prestigious Scholarships.

The Inaugural ETHICON SCTS University Scholarships were awarded on July 13th 2011 to 4 of the top UK Cardiothoracic Trainees.
The first ETHICON Cardiac Symposium was held at the SCTS 2011 Conference on March 21st at the EXCEL Centre, London. The symposium entitled, ‘Assessment and Improvement of Morbidity after Cardiac Surgery’ and was attended by 60 delegates and 4 faculty.
